ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that took place in Jamison last night (September 6).
Around 7.45pm, a man armed with a knife entered Liquorland at the Jamison Shopping Centre and threatened a staff member inside the store. The man made demands for cash.
The staff member complied with the demands and handed the man a sum of cash before the man fled the store. He was last seen running across the ovals, towards Belconnen Way.
The man is described as around 6’4” (193cm) in height. He was wearing a face covering, black ‘hoodie’, dark coloured pants, and was carrying a sports bag.
Police would like to speak to the two people who were inside ACTTAB at the Jamison shops who saw the man run from the location.
Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw a man matching the above description is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
