ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished an oil fire at the Brothers Oven, Tuggeranong Homeworld Centre, Reed Street and Scollay Street.
Fire contained to kitchen of the premises due to quick actions of the occupants and firefighters.
Staff were inside the premises but not trading at time of the fire and safely self evacuated.
Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus van, Bronto Skylift Hydraulic Platform appliance and a Command vehicle attended and have just departed the scene after extinguishing the fire and conducting ventilation operations.
Damage to the deep fryer, wall, filtering and extraction unit estimated at $5,000.
