Has anyone dined at the CIT restaurant?
I haven’t been there in years but it sounds pretty good and very reasonable $26.50 for 3 courses.

We’ve eaten there many times and it’s great. The service varies – some of the kids obviously think “Clerks” was a documentary – but as long as you remember it’s a classroom, you’re fine.
CIT at Reid – it’s the last CIT building along Constitution Ave(anzac Parade end – not the Convention Centre end).
At night you should be able to park in the adjacent carpark – however the open gravel carpark is directly across the road.
On Constitution Avenue in the Reid Campus. School of Hospitality. It’s great. I used to be a volunteer tutor out of CIT until recently and our group would have dinners there occasionally. Good food, good service, great value, and yeah, you’ve got to give the staff a bit of patience as they’re in various stages of learning. A bit of encouragement never goes astray.
Highly recommended.
where is it? I’ve heard some good things if you dont mind the occasional mishap and wouldnt mind trying it out
As a graduate of the hospitality course there I can recommend it. The food and service is guided by experieced restauranteurs and the students will be keen to do the right thing. However it should always be remembered that it is a teaching institution and therefore mistakes may be made.
This wasn’t remembered by the then head of CIT – who proceeded to loudly and very publicly tear into me when I committed the massive sin of placing the teaspoon in the wrong position on the coffee cups!
