The Lego Movie 2 Screening at the NFSA. Photo: NFSA
PG | 107 Mins | 2019 | DCP | US, AUS | D: Mike Mitchell | Closed Captions available
Everything has stopped being awesome now that the city of Bricksburg has been invaded by cute, oversized Duplo bricks. Emmet (Chris Pratt), Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) and Batman (Will Arnett) must venture to the Duplo universe to stop its evil queen.
The Lego Movie 2 delivers more sharp humour, riffing on gender stereotypes, as well as satisfying visuals and ear-worm tracks (like the one titled ‘Catchy Song’).
‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is a delightful all-ages adventure with the potential to reach even the most cynical and weary of us.’ – TheWrap
