Novemberfest. Strangely unpunctual.
Poetix, it is traditional in Germany for Oktoberfest to start late and carry over into early November. I’m sure some wise person can fill us in on why this is so.

And notice the word ‘FREE’ under the semi-obscured portrait of Caroline Le Couteur. Free from the burden of office?

SpringOut Fairday
Saturday November 3rd
12noon – 5:00pm
Westlund House
16 Gordon Street, Acton
SpringOut Fairday, the launch of SpringOUT Pride Festival 2012, is one of the largest and highest profile LGBTI community events in Canberra. It is an inclusive event that celebrates the diversity, colour and vibrancy of Canberra. SpringOut Fairday 2012 will run from 12 noon to 5 pm on Saturday November 3 2012, on the lawns of Westlund House. We’re expecting an even bigger crowd than last year – don’t miss it for anything!
The host for this year’s Fairday will be none other than drag queen extraordinaire Miss Vanessa Wagner!
There will be tons of stalls from businesses and community groups. It will be a great day to find out what is going on in the Canberra queer community, as well as picking up some great gifts. Lots of great food including delicious cakes and sweet things, gourmet ice-cream, of course a sausage sizzle, cold drinks and hot coffee!
