Police have launched an interstate manhunt for a driver alleged to have fled the scene of a traffic stop.

An ACT Policing spokesperson alleged 49-year-old man Adam Sosnowski was involved in a traffic stop near Murrumbateman in NSW on Tuesday morning (17 June) when he fled from police.

The vehicle he was travelling in, a 2016 blue Subaru Forester with NSW registration DDH32T, was seen travelling at high speeds in the ACT and was last seen in Tharwa.

This afternoon, police said he may be in the Cooma area of southern NSW.
