ACT Policing arrested a 17-year-old teenager yesterday (Sunday, November 18) in relation to a robbery which occurred in Weston in late October.
ACT Policing will allege that the teenager stole a green Subaru Liberty sedan on Wednesday, October 31, from Greenway before committing the robbery later that day.
The robbery occurred at the Kingsley’s Chicken store in Weston around 9.20pm where two people entered the store, one was armed with a machete and both with their faces covered.
They stole a sum of cash and fled in the Subaru.
The teenager was taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with aggravated robbery and vehicle theft. He will appear before the ACT Children’s Court today.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested on Saturday (November 17) in relation to the robbery and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
Investigations into the robbery remain ongoing.
