Driving home from work the other day I noticed the famed red Brodburger caravan appears to have ended its useful life in the back streets of Fyshwick (Wiluna Street, in this case).
May it rust in peace.

Defiantly great burgers,
Definitely, say it with me now, de-fin-ite-ly! Sorry, I try not to be a dick about spelling and grammar, but those are two very different words and it shouldn’t be that difficult.
Clearly I spelt it wrong, but safari auto correct obv picked the wrong word. Not really a issue.
Given the trouble they went through with ACT Govt bueracacy, I think ‘defiantly’ was the right choice of word.
ACT Govt bureaucracy; you mean the bureaucracy where the ACT taxpayer subsidises a private business to relocate to a subsidised location in Kingston, just to keep all the hipsters happy after the NCA finally got jack of the bludgers expecting a perpetually free electricity supply for their caravan down at the lake?
And we’re probably still subsidising the lazy bastards too. Must be bloody hard to run a private business when your rent, etc is being (partially?) paid for by others……..
And we probably all paid for the fit-out of the place too.
Small price to pay Evil for a kick arse Brod Deluxe IMHO..

The wait depends on the day. Totally worth it for the helium cheese.

Like just about anything I care to name in the universe, the wait has been vastly improved by the availability of beer.

Sigh, part of Brod’s appeal was the wait. Rollerblade around the lake for a few hours, order food with friends, sit and wait, almost pass out from starvation, wait some more, have philosophical discussions brought about by hunger-hallucinations, wait a bit longer, write folk songs about eels, then finally, burger-nirvana!
We have truly lost something wonderful. Folk songs about eels…. the mind boggles.
Defiantly great burgers, but still do not live up to the hype or a wait more than 15 mins.

That second picture makes me laugh. It’s like they were making love to the burgers.
They’re just that good

I’ll miss the van.
Last time I went, which was a few months ago now, we ordered, ate and left very satisfied around 30 minutes after walking through the door. That was a sunny winter afternoon and all but one of the tables were full when we arrived.
That second picture makes me laugh. It’s like they were making love to the burgers.
So what’s the waiting time for a burger now? Might go try them at the new location if it’s down to something reasonable (say ten minutes max).
