Dog of the Week: Boof

Boof is a classic big boy dog. He’s an 11-month-old Cane Corso – loads of fun, very friendly with people and other dogs. He oozes charm and truly wants to play with everybody and everything.

He’s already proven to be a very intelligent and fast learner at our shelter. He can perform a few tricks and commands; you’ll have a ball teaching him more as he settles into your home.

Big dogs aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok. But for those of you who want a large, overtly friendly and playful boofhead (hence the name Boof), this boy is your next pet.

If you have a dog already and want to adopt, we recommend bringing them (and all household members) to meet Boof. He’ll almost certainly love them, but we have to do the due diligence.

Pups of the Week: Simba and Timon

Puppies have been constant at our shelter this year and it’s not over just yet. These pups are looking for separate homes, so they love you and give you all the smooches you can take.

Of course, they’re cute, adorable and very playful, but like all puppies, they’ll need just a bit of time to learn how to live in your home.

You’ll need to house-train them, but fortunately, these little chaps have had plenty of time playing with people, so we’ve given them a great start in life.

Simba and Timon are two remaining from a larger litter, and we think it’s their turn to find love and a happy, forever home. Come and meet them, no appointment needed.

Pawnotes: Last week’s Pet of the Week, our pig Sir Waffles, is still waiting to find a new rural home, and we’d dearly love to see him find it. If you have room on your property for a growing-but-already-large young pig, please get in touch with our shelter.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick Street, Weston, and add a new companion to your life.
