ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) is investigating a serious collision at the intersection of the Federal Highway and Majura Road in Canberra’s north today (Tuesday, 18 December).
Around 11.15am, a 58-year-old man driving west on Majura Road in a flatbed truck collided with a Toyota Camry with one occupant travelling south. Following the collision the truck struck the concrete buttress of the intersection’s overpass, causing him to be trapped for over two hours.
Both men were transported to The Canberra Hospital in a serious condition. Police diverted westbound traffic during the incident.
