Momentum is building in Canberra’s property scene – quite literally.

A welcoming new brand in real estate – Momentum Property – has launched in Canberra, redefining property by promising energy, expertise and a people-centred focus.

Headed up by some of the city’s most influential and strongest performing property agents – Nick Paine, Anthony McCormack, and husband-and-wife team Tim and Justine Burke – Momentum aims to redefine real estate with a person-centric approach.

Momentum promises energy, expertise and a people-centred focus.

While Momentum’s bold, architectural-looking monogram is inspired by rooftops and built form, Nick said the catchphrase “Great Move” encapsulated the team’s drive and passion for property.

“We are really excited to start this new journey as Momentum Property, a brand that closely aligns to us as people. We’re very Canberra people. We found there’s a lot of warmth, a lot of connection, a lot of happiness in our brand,” Nick said.

“Momentum – it’s the greatest name for a business. It’s in everyone’s vernacular and it’s a really positive term. It shows the authenticity of who we are.”

Striving to turn aspirations into achievements, Momentum’s approach blends deep market expertise with clear communication and results-driven strategies, helping to build lasting value every step of the way.

“The idea of working together was hatched over breakfast with Anthony one day, and gained traction as we went along,” Nick said. “As the stars aligned for this to be something, we got more and more serious about it.

“We were all managing an office and we aligned very closely on how we approach real estate, so those similarities meant that we became very good friends but we also have synergy in the way we work, so it made sense for us to do this together.

“We wanted there to be simplicity in the brand. When sometimes things can be a bit chaotic and complicated, we always try to break things down to get a result in the simplest way. So, for a brand, it captures the essence of who we are. We’re not super loud people. We haven’t chosen a brand with our names because we want the focus to be on our team and more on what we are as a group.”

“We haven’t chosen a brand with our names because we want the focus to be on our team and more on what we are as a group” – Nick Paine.

Momentum has curated a bevy of Canberra’s top performing agents as its team, with a keen focus on their warm, knowledgeable approach, client needs and ability to achieve the best results by putting people first, whether clients, the team or the community.

“One person’s momentum is not as good as everyone’s momentum together and that’s what we want to move with this brand – that we’re bigger together,” said Nick.

Momentum Property has two offices; a northern premises in Gungahlin and south at Weston.

“As a director group, we have never been ultra specialist. So, considering where we come from, people have stuck with us through their property journeys,” Nick said.

“Maybe they’ve bought their first home, an apartment, through us which then led to a three-bedroom house and then a family house. We want to stick with people through their whole journey – wherever that may be and whatever that may be.”
