The National Zoo and Aquarium offers a lively summer experience filled with wildlife, entertainment and relaxed outdoor fun.Visitors can explore a rotating program of activities designed to suit all ages and interests.

The Viewing Park becomes a vibrant space with lawn games, seasonal treats and wagyu food options. Guests can unwind with a picnic, enjoy the sunshine or cool down with frozen refreshments while live music creates a festive atmosphere.

Animal lovers can enjoy themed keeper talks throughout the summer, with celebration weeks highlighting some of the zoo’s most loved residents including birds, porcupines, zebras and iconic Australian animals! Hands-on activities add to the experience. Children and curious minds can enjoy colouring, treasure hunts, hayrides, jumping castles and the digital extinction trail. Special event days introduce surprises such as roaming dinosaurs, silent discos, outdoor movies and mascot appearances. Each visit offers something different.
