A Casey woman has received a $1.25 million-shock after revealing she’d purchased a winning Lotto ticket on Valentine’s Day.

She held one of the 16 division one winning entries in the 14 February draw but didn’t realise it until Monday (16 February).

“I only checked my ticket this morning. Honestly, I don’t think it’s fully sunk in yet,” she said.

“I’m just numb. Happy numb!”

Even when she checked the numbers, just how much she’d actually won didn’t initially register.

“At first, when I checked my ticket, I thought it just said I’d won $120. My brain didn’t register all the digits. It’s a little bit more than that – $1.25 million!”

The woman’s played the same “random numbers” for years.

She plans to use the money to help fast-track retirement plans for herself and her husband.

“We’re doing alright, but this allows us to help the family, and as we’re heading to retirement, this will be a big help,” she said.

“This just takes the whole stress out of things … It’s been a very happy Valentine’s Day!”

The winning numbers in the Saturday Lotto draw 4651 were 12, 7, 3, 6, 14 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 20.

Across Australia, there were 16 division one winning entries from the Valentine’s Day draw – six in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two each in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, and one in the ACT.
