It caused extensive damage to the storage facilities – early approximations are at $20,000-worth.

chuckle, thanks Morgan! Evidently they don’t at St Eddies though. I wonder what htey do on rainy PE days? Weave baskets? Dancing was fun, we did the Progressive Jive, Strip The Willow (that was actually the Virginia reel as I found out later) adn, my favourite, the Knockout Polka (called The Polka). With the latter, we roared around the gym, and the last couple left standing were the winners.

Having gone there in the 60’s I hope the whole place would burn to the ground. A breeding ground for Marist teachers.
And 2CC News was reporting a series of fires in Hackett overnight where there was a couple of cars torched and a school (Blue Gum Community School) set alight.
