ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after an object was thrown at an ACTION bus yesterday afternoon (Saturday 15 September).
About 1.45pm, ACTION bus number 495 was travelling eastbound on Cowlishaw Street, Greenway, approaching the intersection with Anketell Street.
About that time a heavy object, believed to be a spanner, has been thrown at the bus from a cream coloured vehicle travelling westbound on Cowlishaw Street.
The impact of this object has caused severe damage to the driver’s side of the bus windscreen, showering the driver with small fragments of glass.
The bus continued to Woden Bus Interchange where all passengers were transferred to another bus and bus 495 returned to the ACTION depot in Greenway.
No one was injured in this incident.
