ACT Policing has arrested a 17-year-old South Canberra juvenile who allegedly attacked and robbed a group of young people at the skate park in Weston in December 2010.
Police will also allege that the young man was responsible for a serious assault in Erindale on December 29, 2010 in which he punched a young woman which resulted in her jaw being broken.
Crime Investigation Detectives had identified the young man as a key suspect in these incidents and have been actively seeking him.
This morning (Monday, January 24), Tuggeranong General Duties officers attended a residence in Sid Barnes Crescent, Gordon, where the 17-year-old was found hiding in the roof of the garage.
The young man was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of possess offensive weapon with intent and two counts of assault related offences. The young man is expected to face the ACT Childrens Court later today.
