ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigation detectives have arrested and charged a 35-year-old Amaroo man for sexual assault offences.
Police will allege the man sexually assaulted the victim, a 29-year-old woman in his vehicle, a black Holden Calais, at an unknown location, believed to be near a red brick building with temporary fencing around the perimeter in Gungahlin during the early hours of last Wednesday (August 1).
The 35-year-old alleged offender will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (August 4), charged with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
ACT Policing is urging anyone that may have seen a black Holden Calais driving around Gungahlin around 4.00am last Wednesday, or parked near a red brick building with temporary fencing in the Gungahlin area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
