Any pubs showing the FA Cup Final in Canberra on Saturday night?

Thanks for all the replies. Cheers for the tip on sbs1 Holden, I could watch at home, or cycle to Erindale (from Mawson) for a few beers. I’m a Stoke City fan, maybe the only one in Canberra? so can commiserate with mcs re: ManU, we haven’t taken a point off them in 3 years

All the clubs are likely to show it. I’m going to watch it at Ainslie Footy Club- I am a Manchester City Fan and I often watch big matches there and there are usually quite a few people watching them (including an ex-Mancunian with whom I’ve shared many moments of anguish watching City lose again and again to United in last minute disasters!) Most venues I’d expect will show it however.

Irish Club has shown it in years past as well, pretty good atmosphere imo.

Coverage starts at 10:30pm on SBS ONE, so you could watch it home if need be.

Tuggeranong United FC are hosting an FA Cup Night at Vikings Erindale, in the Brumby’s Bar from 9pm. No cost, just a good crowd to watch with and plenty of beers. Most clubs and pubs are pretty crap at showing football so at least you’ll be guaranteed it will be on.

of course, it can be on in your comfy warm living room, but i’m guessing there is no bar service there.

The Hellenic Club in Woden typically shows big soccer, oops, football games. Might be worth giving them a call. If you were to ask nicely in the sports bar I’m sure they’d stick it on for you.
