ACT Policing has taken a man into custody following a weapon incident in Fadden tonight (Thursday, September 15).
Around 5pm police responded to reports of a man threatening a neighbour with a samurai sword.
The man, aged in his 70’s, was taken into custody about 7pm by police without further incident.
He was later released to receive medical treatment for a pre-existing condition. The male person will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
A number of roads were closed during the incident. Road blocks were reopened shortly after 7pm.
