My boss is due to fly back from Melbourne tomorrow. I’m hoping they don’t.
What do you think my chances are of having the rest of the week without a bully breathing down my neck?
Will they be stuck in Melbourne?

Drat! Double drat!
Flights back on.
Recovery session with shrink booked.
There is still a plague and locusts to come, so maybe god will chose your boss for some of that type of stuff too.
Thank you all.
I might be one of the few seeing the silver lining of this ash cloud!
Thousands of stranded passengers bemoaning their ill fate.
Looks like the cloud should be moving on by tomorrow afternoon. Maybe Qantas doesn’t won’t to chance it in case it doesn’t. Anyway check again after 7pm tonight when the forecast is updated.

That said, I have to fly out to brisneyland tomorrow morning and QANTAS is saying that my flight is fine, so it looks like the airport will be reopen tomorrow.

Based on latest news reports i’d suggest flying out of Canberra or Brisbane is unlikely.. but best to double check later
What a difference a few minutes makes. Just after posting that I received an email alert telling me that the airport is closed tomorrow.

Don’t get your hopes up too high, unlike places that are further afield, Melbourne to Canberra is a very doable drive… There are numerious options which your boss could take to get back here if their flight is cancelled and there is unlikely to be another one… (eg a hire car \ bus \ train…)
