ACT Health has released their latest influenza report to 6 September.
August actually had a bit of an uptick, but still nothing close to 2009. Certainly a lot of people had varieties of lurgy last month.

I’m finding these days that colds/flu aren’t as intense as they used to be, but they seem to last a lot longer.
Sure is a nasty one this year, the entire banshee family has been struck down at the same time with temperatures up and down like a yoyo.
I’d expect that to keep going up a bit yet – if the number of people I have seen with the lurgy is anything to go by. My own Master Cholet was struck down with some awful thing this week which included a visit to ED (first ever btw so not something we rely on all the time). We waited two hours and decided we would go home and take our chances. People only seem to exit the ED of their own free will, i.e. because they have given up waiting, not because they have been seen or fixed.
