The Canberra Railway Museum is putting on special Australia Day community celebrations on Tuesday 26 January.

As a thank you for community support visitors will be offered, after normal paid entry, a delightful complimentary morning tea from 10am to 12pm.

Aside from tea and coffee, there will be home-made Anzac biscuits and lamingtons in glorious century-old carriages.

The generous volunteer cook will also be laying on cheesecakes, gluten free patty cakes and of course a pavlova.

There will be free behind the scenes tours to interesting areas where the public normally can’t venture.

As well, family-friendly low cost rail motor rides and miniature railway rides will be operating in the Museum yard at Kingston from 10am-3pm.
