Best streets with views of Lake Burley Griffin

Dunrossil Dr Yarralumla. Pretty hard to get selected for the lease though.

Brown Street in Yarralumla wins hands down

Brown St in Yarralumla. I don’t think it gets any better than the location and views the lucky few houses on that street have.

The penthouse in the Nishi building apartments. Easily the best view of the lake (from Regatta Pt all the way around to the dam and from high up) and its literally across the road from the lake. Not sure what you do when you get there, but its there.

But if you just want a view of the lake, then Mt Ainslie is pretty good.

Several streets at Yarralumla would be the obvious one.

Commonwealth Avenue

Ames Pl, Richardson.

Oh, otherwise you’re looking at Kingston Foreshore and Landmark in Barton.

Some other suburbs may have glimpses of the lake but they’ll be a lot further away. Parts of Red Hill, near Hindmarsh Drive, for example.

Garsia Street and Savige Street in Campbell (among others) used to be quite good, but I’m not sure what impact the new secret squirrel building has had on the water views.
