Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang-branded clothes were seized when police investigated an alleged drug dealer this week.

As part of the bikie-busting Taskforce Invidia’s ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the ACT, its officers were joined by tactical police when raiding a home in Kambah on Thursday (1 October).

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the raid allegedly uncovered numerous weapons including two machetes, a tomahawk axe, three tasers, two batons, a set of knuckledusters and various bladed weapons.

Also, police allegedly found 35 grams of a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine, two vials of clear liquid suspected to be steroids, as well as clothing and paraphernalia related to the Comancheros.

Matti Kemppainen, a 36-year-old of Kambah, was arrested and charged with six counts of possessing a prohibited weapon without authorisation and one count of drug trafficking.

He briefly appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday (2 October), but did not apply for bail, and it was formally refused before he was remanded into custody.

The matter was adjourned to 9 October. No pleas were entered.

“Further investigations are ongoing,” the police spokesperson said.
