I’m not often in Garema Place around sundown.
But I was last night and the twittering of the all the little birds in the trees as the rain fell gently was really very striking.
So here’s a little bit I captured of it just for you.

This kind of non-editorial video/sound snippet should be encouraged on RA. I would like to see roaming cameras recording bits of Canberra as if they were worth recording in themselves. Streetscapes, parks, whatever.
Judging from the sounds, there are a fair few imported pests in those trees, like starlings and sparrows, but I guess that’s the way things are.
They are not singing, they are conspiring to come and crap all over my outdoor furniture!
Nice 🙂 Sounds like the little guys were very grateful for the refreshing weather. I can’t figure out the location though?
I thought I’d hear currawongs, but it doesn’t sound like dusk in Garema Place years ago. Are the currawongs still around?
