RandomGit has sent in a first picture of Canberra to kick off the series.

It is the top of Melba/Fraser/Spence/Flynn indeed. Pick the right side street and the hike to the top is short. There are numerous good solid rocks to park ones tripod on without too many trees obstructing the view.

My brother will be visiting with his Powershot G5 in a month, I’ll get a better quality capture of the above shot, along with a bunch of others.
Mt Rogers is in the NW corner of Belconnen – in the Fraser/Spence/Flynn area. You can find it on Map 27 on the UBD in the yellow pages.
Steev at WoodenSpoon has already done something similar with his TelstraYama series.
(Steev also did some of the photography in our header image.)
what about a “36 views of black mountain (tower)” series? in either digital photographs or 17th century japanese wodcuts of course.
