ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a 15-year-old teenager and 11-year-old child were confronted by a male teenager armed with a pocketknife in Fadden Pines parkland on Saturday afternoon (August 18).
Around 4pm on Saturday, the two victims were jogging through Fadden Pines when they were approached by a male teenager riding a BMX.
The teenage offender on the BMX produced a small pocket knife from his pocket and made demands for money. The victims emptied their pockets, and when no money was found, the offender rode off.
The offender is described as being around 5’10” (178cm) in height, slim build and tanned skin with dark eyes. He was wearing a black puffy jacket with fur lining in the hood, black track pants and a black flat brim baseball cap. At the time of the incident, he was riding a BMX bike with orange spokes.
Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Fadden Pines parkland on Saturday afternoon and witnessed the robbery, or knows someone matching the description of the offender is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
