Cricket Australia have announced that the mighty Indian cricket team is coming to Canberra for a four day game against a Chairman’s XI before Christmas!

Canberra will also enjoy plenty of action, hosting the traditional PM’s XI game against Sri Lanka, whilst also playing host to the CA Chairman’s XI v India tour game in the lead-up to the Christmas.

Cricket lovers had better plan to get there for this one if we want more!

Oh, no – the Indians are coming. Let’s all hope the media DO NOT refer to Sachin Tendulkar as “The Little Master” – a name they recycled from the 1960s when Clive Churchill from the Rabbitohs rugby league team had that name.

It’s going to be a long, hot and very tedious summer.

I just got an email to say the CA site is wrong and the Manuka Oval website is correct :$

My earlier post got over written: The start date on the Manuka Oval website is the 19th – Monday. CA website says the 18th which is a Sunday and makes a lot more sense.

Sweet as! I’ll be there…

India is the greatest nation in the world

CA Chairman’s XI. I’m guessing that Simon Katich won’t be getting a start then?
