We have a subway already in Canberra, which is nice:
So do most cities in Australia, though, by the look of this Etsy shop’s merch.

And yet another horribly failed attempt at this style of design with a completely inappropriate typeface. That’s before you get to the idiotic spelling mistake.

Maybe something more like this then?

I’ve never considered a connection between the defence Eagle column and the Eagle’s Nest.
Further, isn’t the new ASIO complex on the direct line between them?Does the subway stop at the secret bunker under the lake?
How does this relate to the Questacon cryptic sculptures? And does the Belconnen Owl have a role to play?

So this is nothing to do with a foot-long with extra cheese?
I can see someone mentioning Brodburger in another two comments or so…
Oh God, I just did it for them.

The Eagle confused me. Do they mean the one outside Defence? Or do all trains lead to the Eagle’s Nest? Is this some warped RiotACT publicity? Did Barcham spell Parliment? (-:

Im not sure how any hipster cachet can be attatched to fake destination rolls.

+1 Nice catch.

Subway? I don’t get it.
These are based on the destination rolls that used to be used on the front of buses, trams, and in this case NY subway cars.

I can cope with the idea of a fake subway stop list, but when a print consists only of words on a coloured background, those words need to be spelled correctly…
It would also help if the destinations were realistic. If you saw a bus approaching with “Canberra” or “Murrumbidgee” as a destination where would you think they were going? Also having the names spaced out realistically would help, they need to occupy the same amount of vertical real estate otherwise sometimes you’d have more than one destination visible in the window.
