My father played baseball for South Australia in the early 1960’s and also played softball at West Beach against the likes of Ian & Greg Chappell (which I think was the secret behind their great batting ability).Maybe some of our current cricketers need to take up softball/baseball in the off season.

Baseball, like cricket, has it’s origins in England. Whining about every little f@$ing thing on the Internet however, that’s so American.

I suppose that’s why cricket has been trying ever so hard to become more and more like baseball over the last twenty years or so?

And I don’t think “intellectual” is ever going to be a selling point for either game.
