Canberra Times Editor Quits

ABC Radio is reporting that the Canberra Times editor, Michael Stevens, has resigned. He’s been in the job nearly 5 years.

Anyone know anything interesting?

Blamemonkey’s not far off the mark (comment 1). Steven’s assistant ‘Pig’ Higgins p***ed him off by bringing back the wrong takeaway just as the presses finally started to roll – late as usual. Stevens was last heard screaming “What’s this friggin’ figgin doin’ here Higgins – I asked for finger-liggen chiggen!”.
Then he flounced out – for ever.

and the trucking capacity to move them to the drain I suppose.

on the other hand the freebie copies in hairdressers and take-aways do get read by a lot of bored people.
