I’ve spent a fair bit of money at BDL in Fyshwick over the years – and their work has always been excellent.

However, I haven’t been impressed with the Mongoose immobiliser/alarm system they sold me. It is supposed to auto-arm after 30 secs (the law I believe) but often it is more like 20 secs and when it arms you then can’t use the same button to lock the car – you need to disarm then re-arm/lock. This is especially frustrating because the remote doesn’t seem very powerful and I often have to press and point a fair bit for it to pick up the signal.

I’ve never had anything stolen from my car until I got this system. Didn’t realise the car didn’t lock one day and the carpark was done over – they took the iPod from my glovebox which is permanently hooked up to my sound system (a really nice hidden install from BDL).
