Criminal Investigation detectives have arrested three men in relation to the cannabis ‘grow house’ uncovered by police in Macgregor last year.
On 9 November 2012, police attended the house in Dagmar Berne Street in response to reports of water flowing freely from the house into the street. After gaining entry to the house, police located and seized a sophisticated hydroponics set up which was located on the upper level of the two-storey home.
Police seized 94 cannabis plants, with a potential street value, when mature, of $300 000.
As a result of an ongoing investigation into the grow house, Criminal Investigation detectives executed a search warrant at a house in Charnwood this morning (Wednesday, January 9). Three men aged 21, 22 and 24 were arrested by police, and taken to the ACT Watch House.
They are all expected to be charged with cultivating a traffickable quantity of cannabis for sale. Police will be opposing bail in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday, January 10).
