A child has died and three people have been injured in a horror crash on the Far South Coast.

A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to Towamba Road, Nullica (about 10 kilometres southwest of Eden) at about 4:10 pm on Tuesday afternoon (13 May), after a dual-cab ute and truck collided.

They found a six-year-old boy, who had been travelling in the ute, had died at the scene.

The driver, a man in his 30s, along with a three and an eight-year-old girl, suffered multiple injuries.

All three have been airlifted to hospital.

The truck driver, who police believe to be in his 50s, has been taken to Bega hospital for mandatory testing and treatment for shock.

The crash scene will be examined by officers attached to the Southern Region Crash Investigation Unit, which is now en route to the scene.

Anyone with information that may assist Strike Force Raphoe II investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or by visiting its website.
