Does anyone know what happened to the Community Garden at Theodore/Calwell? I’am trying to connect a few people with disabilities to projects like this that they can be part of in their comunity.

Can anyone let me know of similiar gardens / activities?

Interestingly Theodore’s postcode is 2905 and according to another post is down the bottom of the heap in terms of average income.

The community garden in Theodore was subject to vandalism and had problems with water supply. It was only closed about a month ago.

The Canberra Organic Growers Society who ran the Theodore garden (and still run many other community gardens around Canberra) can be reached via the web at http://www.cogs.asn.au/

Hope this helps.

Narrabundah Tennis Courts & Garden in Kootara Cres has been designed for people in wheelchairs although we don’t have a disabled toilet. It is a community facility available to all and managed by Old Narrabundah Community Council Inc. (ONCC Inc).

Check it out and talk to John or Cheryl at Narrabundah News.
