Coroner investigating whether car crash contributed to man's death

ACT Policing has called for witnesses or dashcam footage of a Gowrie collision as part of an investigation into a man’s death.

Two grey Mazda CX-5s collided at the intersection of Ashley Drive and Bugden Avenue at about 4:45 pm on Saturday (17 May).

One man was transported to hospital, where he died on Monday evening (19 May).

A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner, who will determine whether the man’s death is added to the ACT’s 2025 road toll.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Investigation Team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to assist the coroner.

Anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 8051421. Information can be provided anonymously.
