In their inexorable rise to being the One True Sport of Canberra the Canberra Roller Derby League has facebooked their new bus buyout.
Colour me impressed.

maybe this will help http://www.flickr.com/photos/d-eye/7186331446/ a photo that captures about 2/3 of the crowd at a normal match at the Tuggeranong basketball stadium. There isn’t much room for anyone else to watch. The season final and interstate matches are held at AIS and have a much larger crowd.
The Dickens you say!

“Canberra’s Premier Roller Derby League”. There are others?
my thoughts too. As with the promo budget – overhyped – other local sports could do with the space, or the funds could be used to contribute to a useful bus service.
bah humbug
My god, what a grinch. There’s plenty of other buses on the road for the other sports to have , they obviously choose not to. And doesn’t the advertising fee go to Action and partially fund the bus service?
Those who don’t leave their computer screen obviously don’t realise how big this sport is in Canberra. Mrs Sandman and her sister regularly attend as do a lot of other female acquaintances of theirs and mine. It’s the new girls night out venue.

Who’d a thunk it? Seems our “Premier League” cant fit the throngs of devotees in.Probably something to do with the The Carbon Tax.
