ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the aggravated robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Holt last night (Saturday, October 22).
About 9:20pm, a Crust pizza delivery driver had been called to an address on Southern Cross Drive, Holt (near the Holt neighbourhood ovals) to deliver an order. At the address, the delivery driver was approached by three men brandishing knives.
The three offenders were all described as approximately 180cm tall (5’11”), with thin builds and wearing dark-coloured clothing and balaclavas.
The delivery driver complied with the demands of the offenders and handed over a small sum of cash.
The offenders fled the area on foot towards the grassed area opposite the Holt neighbourhood ovals.
The victim was not harmed during the incident.
It appears the delivery order was a hoax, used to lure the driver to the area.
Police would like to speak with anyone who observed persons acting suspiciously in the Holt area last night, particularly in the vicinity of Southern Cross Drive. Anyone who may be able to assist police with this investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.
