Cyclist seriously injured in Athllon Drive crash

A male cyclist has been taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition following a crash in Kambah earlier this morning (13 June).

Emergency services were called to a collision between a red Hyundai Getz and a bicycle at the intersection of Athllon Drive and Fincham Crescent at 10 am.

The cyclist was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics before being taken to hospital.

The southbound lane of Athllon Drive was initially diverted along Fincham Crescent. The diversion has since been lifted.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the crash and has appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 8075179. Information can be provided anonymously.
