It will cost about $200,000 to repair or replace stolen equipment after the Telstra Tower was significantly vandalised last month.
Earlier this month, ACT Policing received a report of an incident believed to have occurred at the tower overnight between 26 and 27 April.
Officers went to the building and found evidence of damage and theft.
These thefts included four computers, three uninterruptible power supply units, a computer server and switch, two digital projectors, multiple keys and a historic cast iron red post box.
Significant damage to the interior of the tower was caused during the incident.

Police said the initial estimates to replace stolen equipment and to repair the damage totalled about $200,000.
“Police are seeking any information relating to the incident, including the identities of five people who were observed in the area at the time,” a police spokesperson said.

When Telstra was contacted for comment, a spokesperson said they were not able to provide more information as police were investigating the matter.
The 157-metre-high telecommunications tower has been closed to the public since July 2021 for upgrades to its interior.
Telstra has previously said its vision for the tower is for it to be “an iconic world-class venue” that celebrates Ngunnawal culture and the role the tower played in the history of telecommunications in Australia.
Last year, the ACT Government said it would work with Telstra on a plan to redevelop and reopen the tower.
“This will help reinstate it as an iconic Canberra visitor destination,” the government said at the time.
“Features will likely include a café, retail space and observation deck.
“It is too early to say if the tower’s renowned revolving restaurant will return.”
When asked for an update on the reopening of the tower, the Telstra spokesperson said the company and the government were continuing to work on opening as quickly as possible.
