Hello All,
Was wondering if any one has any ideas for me to do for a date night?
Doesn’t have to be pricey and can be a bit lame as long as it’s fun!
Thanks!

Movie is a crap date. Sucks.
I like the ice skating idea, except NOT on Fridays. Worked pretty well for me! 🙂 On not-Fridays it typically is far quieter (you can have a non-shouted conversation with your date!), less crowded and lacks the stupid drunks that infest the Friday night events.
We also went to the ice hockey games there quite a few times and enjoyed it

Can I provide my own knife? And how about if the hunter becomes the hunted? >:-)
Only if you take me to Pancake Parlour afterwards!

A combination of Mecca Bah and The Julep Lounge in Manuka is also a nice idea.
Actually it’s pretty hard to go wrong with date night if you go anywhere at all in Manuka. Nice meal, cocktails, cinema, ice cream… 🙂

Make sure it ends with a make out session at the top of Mt Ainslie.
+1 but only if he has a very fast car with a tiny back seat!
Dinner at one of the restaurants on West Row and cocktails at Muddle Bar.

No, don’t got to Mt Ainslie – the devil rules Mt Ainslie.

I’ve always found Debacle in Braddon to be good value.
just be sure to book!
Nice food and atmosphere, but the acoustics are absolutely terrible. If you don’t want to be able to talk to your date (which is always a possibility) then Debacle is good. Otherwise best to try somewhere a little more intimate.
Premium Dendy is a bit of fun and a slightly different angle on the movie idea. Start with a cheeky cocktail or two at Ha Ha Bar or Trinity or somewhere handy is always good.
In the past I’ve taken dates to live music, and it’s always gone down really well.

You are a strange cat Captain…
go get a brodburger, grab a few cold ones on the way, sit by reconciliation place and enjoy the scenery. although that’s more of a summertime pursuit… unless you wanna cosy up under blanket.

Six-pack and a box of rubbers.
Combine these two suggestions for some fun…
$35 early bird special at Chairman and Yip and then a movie, a good night out at about $50 a head
If you and your date want to get competitive, there’s go-karting in both Fyshwick and Hume. Alternatively, if you want to get a little more immature and possibly learn a thing or two, you could always head over to Questacon!
Then again, there’s hundreds of restaurants to choose from. Not to mention cinema, theatre, lake cruise, pub crawl, 10-pin bowling, Intencity (that’s still around, yeah?), all those things on the “what’s on” guide…
Is it a first date or an established relationship ‘time-out’ together?

Go to Queanbeyan.
Steal a car.
Bait a cop.
