The closer it gets to Christmas, the more the calendars seem to fill up. What’s on your calendar for this weekend? And what of those are things that anyone else could go along to?
All suggestions and events in the comments please.

Am I the only boring one here?!?!?! 🙂
I don’t plan on going anywhere or drinking any alcohol anywhere – apart from VB at home!
I’m going to attempt to drought-proof the rest of my plants with a tonne or two of fresh mulch, and apart from that I plan to spend the remainder of my whole weekend with my wife and 3 young daughters…. who barely see me due to me working 7:30 to 5:50 weekdays…
Of course these plans are pending mates appearing and disappearing for the entire weekend for a ‘coldie’ or two 🙂
Parliament House Meat Market on Friday nite early then Gabys Dance Studio Christmas party at Macgregor House.
Yea, thanks :p
I met you at the RiotACT cricket thumper
I was the one doing all the fantastic sitting down!
No need for a beer – can’t drink it (gluten) 🙁
My partner and I were hoping for a few games of pool at the pub to celebrate my scholarship offer, that’s why I was noiseying about the pool table…
I might be able to convince him to come along for the tunes though
$3 spirits is good
simto, the alcohol is for staff Christmas party :P~
As for Soylent Green, gotta love the unknowing cannibalism.
I am led to believe that Morrisons Newsagency (Monaro Street, Qbn) has a selection of darrel Lea chocolates and past years I have seen the baubles there, but no idea if they have them this year
ahh but I bet you can’t play cricket in the bar while watching the gig
I’ll give ’em a google and I see if I can get some love
So, nyssa’s getting off her skull on discounted booze and likes films about eating people. Does this scare anybody else?
Ah Soylent Green, one of my favs….
I’m off to the Old Bus Depot markets to buy alcohol. No I’m not ashamed to say that either 🙂
Anyone know where I can buy (this weekend) those little chocolate baubles that Darrel Lea use to sell? I just want to buy a whole bunch for my students.
Thumper,
Do you have to be a member of the National Indoor Cricket Centre at Lyneham bar/club whatever?
Is there a cover?
Is there a pool table?
Cheers.
oooh..28 days later is a great movie once you can get past some of the lame acting.. aside from the doctor it is one christopher ecclestons (sp) better roles as well…
Apologies for the misinfo there – finally found my copy of the poster – one all nighter is actually martial arts, while the other is aliens, zombies and monsters.
Martial arts is: Enter the Dragon (Bruce Lee), Drunken Master 2 (Jackie Chan), High Risk (Jet Li), Ong Bak (Tony Jaa) and Rumble in the Bronx (Jackie Chan again – well, he’s a local boy)…
The zombie-vampire-alien one is 28 Days Later (Zombies, sorta), Night Watch (Vampires and Werewolves, sorta), Alien (take a guess), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (aliens again) and Soylent Green (SF, no actual aliens or monsters, unless you count humanity or Charlton Heston).
mm princess bride on saturday sounds good… Is there anyway of finding out what the zombie movie is… aching to see dellamorte dellamore again.. If that were showing I would be a very happy me.
I’ll be doing a stall at the Old Bus Depot markets on Sunday. Fitted cloth nappies and baby slings & carriers.
