“showers are forcast for Sat and Sun.”……funniest thing I have heard all day!
Party In The Park is on at Corroboree Park in Ainslie on Sunday at 12:30pm.
And of course, when I say Exhibition Park, I mean Thoroughbred Park. I haven’t been drinking (yet).
Oktoberfest is on again at Exhibition Park. Zierholz Premium Brewery will be flogging their reasonably priced wares, including a tasty new hefeweizen and Oktoberfest lager for those looking for a change from imported pasteurised German megaswill.
The Australian Native Plants Society is having their twice-a-year plant sale at the Botanic Gardens – see http://nativeplants-canberra.asn.au/default.asp?contentID=534.
Harden is having a kite festival. We missed the Canberra one this year, so it could be cool. Check it out, not that far away.
Also, Knightsbridge are screening Batman and Superman on Sunday eve.
In the theatre-front, the all singing, all dancing, minimally plotty antics of “The Boyfriend” continue at the Street theatre. Discount tickets tonight ($25), otherwise they range from $25-35, with performances till the 28th (including matinees on the 21st, 22nd and 28th).
Weather might be a bit dodgy though: showers are forcast for Sat and Sun.
