And so, once again, our thoughts turn to merriment.
But where to be merry this weekend? And doing what?
Suggestions in the comments please.

That’s great, FabForty!

I did sponge the spilled coffee off my Riot t-shirt last week in case you came, so I can wear it again this week if it would help?
But Overheard is the MC, so he will definitely be able to tell you who I am. The Kevin Bacon Fan Club can probably also point you in my direction.
The Fab Loquacious Grannies would be cool!!
I am SO there !
Giant social selling pit (large garage sale with lots of different sellers and items) on a lawn across from the Gorman House Markets from 10am tommorow morning!
Batman Street Braddon!
Is it all heavy rock at the Basement?
I think they have both kinds of music, heavy and metal!
Bleeding Through and Between the Buried and Me at Albert Hall dudes…
TONIGHT!
I think tix are through landspeed. Should be a big show and great to see some smaller scale international tourers include Canberra on their Australian leg.
Not sure if this appears in the regular Wotz On threads but can anybody tell me if, when and where Slam Poetry is held please?
This is the very last time I’ll warn people ruining the listing of events with chit chat.

Sorry Lads, I have just heard that, because of the Nationals next weekend, this weekend wont have a battle. But if you’re noting it in your diaries, the Nationals are on Sat/Sunday of the long weekend, at the “Sporting Shooters” dam off Majura Road.
JohnBoy/Thumper,
Reason I was vague about that was that I have the location details at home, and so am not certain it’s in the same pond it usually is (which is at one of the rifle ranges out off Majura Road) and I didn’t wanna give anyone a bum-steer. I’ll post a location as soon as I confirm it.
Next weekend (Aust Day weekend) Canberra is hosting the National Championships for the Australian Battle Group (www.ausbg.org). This weekend though, on Sunday morning, the local team are taking their boats out for the final test battles prior to the Nationals.
What is AUSBG? Check the website, and it explains all in a slideshow of photos. But in short, it’s large radio controlled model boats (about 6-8ft long), armed with cannons that fire ballbearings in order to sink opponent ships.
Drop me an email to m.f.aurelius@gmail.com if you wish further info.
