The rains have cleared, the weather is glorious, the forecast is pretty good.
So what’s worth seeing and doing around Canberra this weekend?

Also, at the risk of giving away a Canberra secret, Yarrh wines have a first sunay of the month wine and tapas with live music. Their wine is perfectly drinkable and above average for the region and views are great. I’d recommend booking.

A Feast of Poetry in Cooma
Raglan Gallery, 9-11 Lambie Street, Cooma
10.30 am (book launch from 10 am)
If you’re a closet poet (and I suspect some of you are) why not drive to A Feast of Poetry in Cooma on Saturday? The Raglan Gallery will host the event; awards will be given in a yearly poetry contest for adults and children that has already been judged, and the winning entries read. But there is also an ‘on the spot’ poetry contest for all ages, and an open microphone event for all poets to read. (This is *not* compulsory. But there are prizes.)
Paul Montague will launch a book at 10 am followed by A Feast of Poetry prize presentations and poetry readings from 10.30 am.
This year, A Feast of Poetry will be held in conjunction with the opening of the Raglan Gallery’s annual SummerFest and their inaugural Paint a Fake exhibition. The SummerFest is a great opportunity to buy unique Christmas gifts. For more information about SummerFest go to http://www.raglangallery.org.au
