OK, lots of stuff going on this weekend (I shall be in Sydney waging emotional warfare on as yet unknown and over-perfumed office PA’s).
So if you know of something cool and fun happening here in Canberra over the weekend the comments await you.

Hola RiotACT
Having just hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu and gone for a sail around Lake Titicaca, for this weekend I´m planning to go hiking in Colca Canyon and looking for some condors.
Having a great time in Peru will let you know whats happening for next weekend later.
Ciao
Liquid Architecture is on at the National Gallery on 23-Jul-05.
Details as emailled to me are as follows:
After exhilirating seasons in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns,
this year’s festival comes to a close with a special event at the
National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. The highlight of the event is DJ Olive from the land of loud Americans,
who will charm audiences with his unique take on turntablism and vinyl
sounds. His creation of the term ‘illbient’ is a reflection on the new
scene of rooftop parties in Brooklyn. His work ranges from ‘beats in the
backyard sunrise kinda vibe’ to his recent Buoy release, intended as
music to fall sleep to.The program also features a forum where artists will discuss current
issues and personal perspectives on sound art.Liquid Architecture 6 in Canberra is a collaboration between the
National Gallery of Australia and the Centre for New Media Arts,
Australian National University.Liquid Architecture 6 at the National Gallery of Australia features:
DJ Olive (USA)
nat (Victoria)
Shannon O’Neill (NSW)
Sam + Tq (ACT)
