Diversity ACT Community Services Presents:

Twilight Extravaganza & Official Opening Ceremony

23rd MARCH 2013

2pm till 7.30pm

8 Laidlaw Place, Kambah

To mark the exciting opening of Canberra’s new LGBTIQ resource centre the

Diversity Hub, Diversity ACT will be hosting a family friendly fun day on 23

March 2013 at 8 Laidlaw Place, Kambah.

There will be hours of entertainment for all ages including carnival rides,

children’s entertainment and drag shows, and an eclectic range of food and

drink, as well as plenty of information stalls from LGBTIQ and other

community organisations. There will be a range of fun and quirky activities

presented by our MC Ms Portia Turbo including handbag throwing, high heel

races, an Iron Person event and even a dunking tank – you never know who

might be dunked…

The event will also include the official opening of the Diversity Hub by a

surprise guest, along with guided tours of the facility and a chance to

mingle enjoy some light-hearted fun with other members of the Canberra

LGBTIQ community.

So come on down and check out our new home, grab a bite to eat and enjoy

some of the events we have planned as we celebrate the official opening of

the Diversity Hub at Laidlaw Place in Kambah.

Sunday afternoon:

The Brass Knuckle Brass Band, Nyash! and DJ Degg serving up funk and afrobeat as part of You Are Here.
