They also did a terrible job keeping people informed. Even now their website still has only a very short list of fairly average breweries exhibiting, with the promise of “more to be announced closer to the festival.” Well, let me know when you’ve finalised the list guys…

The National Capital Craft Beer Festival is on again this weekend. Definitely a good way to kill a Saturday or Sunday arvo.
Up to the Friday finish line it is all hustle & pressure. For a complete change of pace, why not decompress with the Identical Strangers this Friday night at the VP3 room, Vikings Erindale from 9.30.
You’re a high fidelity rock & roll fan from start to finish right? Come & bask in a steamy miasma of finely crafted tunes, forget your cares & dance till you rupture a spleen.
Identical Strangers – the clamour that satisfies!
Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens are playing at The Front with their Melbournian friends The Bell Parade on Saturday night, $7 entry.
Here’s a blurb! yay!
Melbourne’s The Bell Parade’s debut album Let’s make ‘em like that anymore blends alt-country with indie balladry and subtle psychedelia. Well-crafted lyrics teamed with nostalgic and beautifully-layered melodies. Come see ’em play ’em like that at The Front! PLUS – Indie folksters Julia & The Deep Sea Sirens return to The Front for the first time in 2011 with songs from their freshly released album Family Pets (currently receiving national airplay) and their first new cover song in three years. Intriguing, no?
The Mont 24 Hour Mountain bike race starts noon Saturday out at East Kowan Forest.
About 2800 riders burning up the single track .
Should be a hoot.
Come out and have a look !
Hailing from Brisbane, Bang Bang Boss Kelly pump out a rattling and rambling country punk rock with fierce banjo and four part harmonies thrown in for good measure. Since their formation in 2010 they have wowed critics and punters alike in QLD with their infectious energy and fusion of styles and are currently on a whirlwind tour of the southern states. They play the Phoenix tonight from 8pm (Thursday 7 April). Don’t miss them!
