The saying is you can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family, but during these shows, audiences will get that chance. ‘Playing House’ allows the audience to choose characters to become “The Jones'” and this family will present ‘a day in the life of the Jones” during the course of the second act.
Everyone has a family member that’s a little bit quirky, embarrassing or just plain hilarious! This show gives the audience a chance to share……or inflict that type of relative on an unsuspecting family and then laugh at the consequences. The audience will be witness to a whole new set of funny, quirky and memorable family moments that they helped create.
The first half of the shows will be playful and fun short-form sketches to ascertain exactly which characters will become part of the “Jones'” for the ‘day in the life’ format in the second half.
A fun family night is assured so come along and join Impro ACT for a night of ‘Playing House’. Be sure to book your tickets in advance to ensure you don’t miss out!
Ah, we just composed a post about the inagural Canberra Tweed Walk this Sunday starting at 1.30, meeting at Reid Park opposite the end of ANZAC Parade.
This is pretty much the same idea as Canberra’s Tweed Ride, but it will be a gentle 40-minute walk instead.
We hope it will be a chance for people who enjoy a more elegant take on sportswear to enjoy a stroll in Canberra in good company. All free, no commerical anything, just an excuse for a nice walk in a nice place wearing nice clothes. More info at http://www.thedarlingsisters.com.
