In this 6-week short course at Tuggeranong Arts Centre, Michelle England will inspire you to make mixed media artworks based on personal memorabilia, memories and expression.
Using techniques such as collage, drawing, painting, you will create a 3-dimensional box using photos and memorabilia.
No experience is required. Materials and equipment will be provided.
About Michelle England
Mostly working in painting, Michelle England often creates small wall based sculpture. She uses a collage aesthetic to combine imagery, painting techniques, pattern and forms. She also combines the practices of art and craft with found objects to change them and to alter their context and meaning.
She completed a Visual Arts Degree with Honours in 2013 and an MA Phil in Visual Art in 2022 at the School of Art ANU. She has had numerous solo and group shows in Canberra and interstate and her work is held in private collections across Australia.
